300 Births in Midwife-led Unit at Blackpool last year...
"The Fylde Coast Birth Centre, which is due to open on Monday, will feature two new rooms for women with complex needs which were constructed after Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was allocated £500,000 by the Department of Health."
Fantastic news for Blackpool and the Fylde Coast: "All the birth centre rooms are en-suite and many have birthing pools. Family members are able to stay with mums in the room, with no restrictions on visiting times" Hopefully supporting more normalised birthing for 2015.
